It marks SU’s second consecutive conference loss.SU (15-9, 3-3 Atlantic Coast) junior right-hander AnnaMarie Gatti had a tough outing in the circle for the Orange. The ace lasted only four and two-thirds innings after giving up five runs to the Yellow Jackets (9-16, 3-4) in the second inning and seven runs overall. Syracuse responded in the third inning when Bryce Holmgren and Faith Cain drew two consecutive walks with the bases loaded, forcing in two runs.Senior Sydney O’Hara added a home run in the fifth inning to continue her stellar season. The senior went 2-for-2 with a home run and drew four walks. O’Hara leads Syracuse in home runs, RBIs, batting average, slugging percentage, on-base percentage and walks. She also threw five innings in relief and struck out eight.The Orange entered the top of the seventh inning down 7-3 but rallied to tie the score at 7-7 and force extra innings.
